Skills For Hope Foundation Scholarships/Awards  for 2017

In honor of Canada’s 150th birthday, the Skills For Hope Foundation Scholarships/Awards Program has expanded.

Due to an overwhelming number of applicants the deadline date has been moved to July 10th.

Scholarships/Awards Amount: Scholarships/Awards ranging from $500 – $1000.00


  • Applicants entering or continuing a post-secondary program or post-graduate program at an accredited college or university (or equivalent) in 2017, in Canada.
  • The award will be paid directly to the registrar of the institution.
  • Applicants must be residing in Canada
  • Priorities given to vocational and technical programs

Each applicant must supply:

  • Full particulars including name, address, contact info, age.
  • A copy of an acceptance letter from an accredited academic, vocational or technical institution in BC, Canada
  • Relevant transcripts (official transcripts are not necessary)
  • Two or three reference letters from teachers/employers/community leaders.
  • A personal letter outlining reasons for making the application, academic and work experience, community service, education and career goals.

Deadline date: Applications will be reviewed as soon as received. The last date of receipt of applications is 1st August 2017. Due to an overwhelming number of applicants, the deadline date is now 10th July.

The Skills For Hope Foundation Scholarship Program was established to assist candidates who wish to enter or continue a post-secondary or post-graduate program, for the development of academic or vocational skills; thus assisting them to move into or upwards in education and employment. Thus enabling them to positively participate in society.
