The Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) Assessment is a test designed to measure the English language proficiency of students specifically planning to study in Canadian post-secondary institutions.

The CELPIP-General Test (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) is an English language test which is completely computer-delivered and consists of the following components: listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
The CELPIP-General Test is designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) as proof of English language proficiency for those applying for permanent resident status in Canada.
